Eleven years ago today, 2996 people lost their lives. 9/11 claimed the lives of so many innocent people. You are all missed every single day, excluding you fucking terrorists. I honestly could not give a flying fuck about you. 2996 people gone. R.I.P

The way the firefighters acted that day was truly majestic.
Love watching the documentaries about them, they really showed the pinnacle of human dignity.

Some places do it, some don't. I do it. I don't care if I am in the middle of serving a customer. I do it. I once told a customer too "shut up and pay some respect" She shut-up after that.

I noticed that the wording used was very posh!

It's like obviously they have gone, but they will always be remembered for their courage, bravery etc etc

O ye, I completely agree with you!
It's a sad state of affairs really because come 500 years from now, its likely it will be a forgotten event.
There will be a much bigger, more catastrophic event to come yet, in our lifetime? Possibly :y:
Of all the documentaries I've ever watched, this was probably 1 of the saddest I've seen, I actually remember coming home from school and seeing the second plane hit

11 years to the day and I still remember exactly where I was and the sheer panic in everyone.
I also remember feeling somewhat overwhelmed watching the news that entire afternoon. It was on every channel for the entire day

It was such a horrible event, but as said in 500 years it will be like twin towers what? Especially with this next generation of kids....
I can remember it well too, so horrible

I very much doubt in 500 years time it would have been forgotten, it was the biggest attack on america.
The battle of Trafalgar over 200 years ago but hasn't been forgotten Nelsons column an iconic landmark represents the British victory.
Just like america have a memorial that won't be taken away for years to come.
RIP.

Like the JFK assassination to my parents, they say they always remember where they were when they heard, I remember distinctly where I was that afternoon, what the day way like, what I was doing. Weird eh :ponder:

RIP!
Remember first seeing it on the news like it was yesterday, wonder how long it takes before this turns in to a conspiracy thread.
Anyone see the channel 4 doc last night about the fella that decided to carry on working instead of evacuating and then when the building collapsed proceeded to surf on the debris all the way down and lived?

I didn't and was really annoyed with myself for missing it. Correct me if I'm wrong though but aren't they repeating it tonight? There's definitely a 9/11 documentary on tonight so I'll be watching that for definite.
R.I.P to all those killed in the twin towers though... such an immensly tragic and needless loss of life :(

Pretty sure tonight is about the falling man, not the WTC Surfer.
Rest in peace to all lives lost. Oh and before people start to go on about conspiracies - don't waste your time please.
