With 32 hours of work, over a period of a week, not driving my car and a very flat battery from listening to music I have finished phase 1 of detailing my car.

Interior cleaning process: (6 hours)
- Hoover
- Steamer (Fantastic for removing stains)
- Wet Wipe (Dust)
- Back to black
- Final hoover

In addition to this I have cleaned the inlays of the doors and the boot.

Exterior cleaning process: (26 hours)
- Light rinse to loosen the grit
- Detail around small edges and crevices with tooth brush and detailing brush, not to mention a small pink nail brush
- Very light wash with AutoGlym Shampoo
- Heavy wash with AutoGlym Shampoo
- Maguires Clay bar (8 - 10 hours spent on removing all tar spots and bug guts etc, you wont find one that isn't stained -- future work. I went through 2 and a half bottle of solution)
- Maguires Clay bar (2 hours, removing all contaminants)
- Heavy wash (Auto Glym)
- Chamois (Love it!)
- Polish (Black Fire Wet Polish - Woah!)
- Sealant (Black Fire Wet Diamond Look - My jaw hit the ground from the results)
- Back to black
- Windows (AutoGlym window cleaner)
- A quick once over with a chamois to get rid of window cleaning solution and back to black left overs
- A quick buff

A fantastic clean and may I add a lovely looking car.

Future cleaning (Phase 2):
- Engine bay
- Inlay of bonnet
- Clay, polish and seal inlay of doors
- Clay, polish and seal inlay of boot

The next sunny day that comes along expect more pics, it glimmers like a darling when the sun is shinning!

A special thanks:
- Polished Bliss, bloody fantastic recommendations on products. I ran out of quick detailing solution, gave Polished Bliss a bell about half two and asked if the Carrier has been, he had. Straight to the point the lovely lady on the phone said she would take the solution to the post office for me for special delivery so I can have it the next day -- and hell I got it. Bloody brilliant!

I plan to make quite a few mods. The following I wish to get done by the end of the year:

- Quick Shift
- Lowered 40/50mm
- Alloys (Not found a set I like yet)
- New back box/exhaust. Looking for a specific, low rumble. I would like the high rev sound at lower revs
- Chrome or dull grey whippers
- Better security (of course)

The following are future mods:
- Rear lights (remove current lights, colour coded)
- Tinted windows
- Body kit, I would like the front and back dumper to flow with the side skirts -- so same height, downwards.
- Rip out back seats and do a make over
- Bucket seats & Harnesses
- Couple of amps, no need for subs -- Rock doesn't require them ;-)
- Possibly colour code however I do like the current colours

As mentioned I do plan to make these changes, other than the colour coding as I am not too sure I would like to...

Thanks bud.

I took a very long time on removing tar spots, as my car is a light colour they're easy to spot. Also any oxidised, anodised, drop and other spots have been removed. Pretty heavy work but when you drive 90 miles back from Stansted and a load of cars in the slow lain check out the shine on yours it's very rewarding.

There is a little sun today but me car is a little wet -- looking forward to the weekend. Going to see how well a rinse and chamois brings up the car.

Hat's off mate, that's some effort you've put in... and it shows. I'd forgotten how nice the Blackfire twins look on silver. Great stuff!

Just to let you know, I've recommended you and the products you provide to a load of enthusiasts at work. One driving a 350z (Red, should come up nice, lent them the Black Fire twins for the weekend -- will get you some pics) and a silver Skyline -- damn it goes!

Cheers mate, much appreciated. The Blackfire products look superb on red, but for silver the Jeffs Werkstatt acrylic range will be needed for best results. Cheers again! :)
