right weve all heard the rumours and seen the proposals
dont know how legit it is..but we know what the "weak as piss" uk goverment is like...so if its possible it could save our right to modify etc
its worth signing and sharing on as many forums as poss..just on the off chance that it does make a diff for us :y:

Is it the same sort of petition as the 1s that pop up every 6 months in the hope to reduce fuel prices??
If so, count me out.

as said in OP dude..i dont know how legit it is
but given the fact that it IS something that is being put infront of the UK gov..if they can do their own research..and see stats posted on a proper petition site
it may help this get put to be pretty sharpish
the fuel prices crap is like pissing in the wind..its out of the govs control..they arent going to lower their duty on it as they "cant afford to"....so if the price of sourcing and production keeps rising..what can they do in all reality

This law would be absolutely ridiculous. What on earth is the point of it? In effect it would be losing money for the Government, seeing as all the companies selling parts for cars have to pay tax etc. Foolish law. Signed it anyway.

we know this buddy
i doubt they are stupid enough to ignore that..as theyll lose out
but could see it as a way to bring insurance down for the masses on the flipside... (wont work..ppl will still crash cars)
but if these stats by some way help..you know youve done the right thing :homme:

look this corrupt government we have wouldn't ban this its like smoking they wont ban it because of the v.a.t they just narrowed down places you can smoke , they will do the same with modifications just narrow down the amount there is sadly , they make a lot of v.a.t on things like that its not like red diesel that's illegal because there's no tax on it just think say you buy a barryboy body kit for say £1000 look how much tax would be on it . Surely there would be people to do with the government with say after market alloy wheels on there car that's a modification. there will be certain alterations they will make to some parts that would maybe make the car dangerous say like they my alter window tints on the rear , or say a certain size wheel on a car , its silly because over 50% of cars on the road are modified anyways :) so fuck the government and pc plod not a chance id be removing any parts anyways :)

Wow a petition that once again will do FUCK ALL, governments don't listen to words that are detrimental to them making money off the people who put them there in the first place.

Also as soon as you change an item for a non-OEM standard part then it's been modified so even attempting to enforce it would be too time consuming and costly to an already over stretched police force.

I will sign it just in case. Even though it's obvious this law will not go in to play.
Imagine the overall effect it would have.
Performance companies gone
Workers jobless
People with already modified cars - uninsured over night
Then the uproar
ect ect ect
