I will hazard a guess that he's in the situation where he gets paid regardless of whether he works or not and doesn't have the luxury of just finishing early or getting paid for it. Not to mention how detrimental working your lunch every day can be...

I would go for a piss, as the toilet is only outside my door and down the stairs and it's never fun trying to hold a piss in, but sitting there taking a shit and drawing it out, all the while knowing I'm getting paid to evacuate my bowels, is an awesome feeling. tuesday and wednesday - go meet my mates for food and chat when they was on lunch.

Hmm yeah I see where you're coming from man but I start a new job on Monday and I don't think they'll be too happy if I take my mid morning shit while someone's trying to train me up tbh. Usually a good 10 minute operation for me even for a quick one. Once I've got my feet under the table I think I'll be take shit breaks as and when but I've got to try and keep it to a minimum for a few weeks.

Knowing me I won't be able to hold it until the lunch break tbh - when a boy's got to go, he's got to go... :y:

Anyway, I finish work at about the same time most of you start your lunch breaks so I can't complain. Fair play if you get paid for your lunch break but I'd hate wasting an hour unpaid! At my old job I'd have 15/20 minutes and clock back in to earn the extra money. Not that I needed the money as such but it was more interesting than sat doing fuck all.

Did you not read what I said? The majority don't have the option of deciding whether or not to be paid for working their lunch, so for the majority, there is no point in working.

yup we have three brakes a day, two 15 mins and half hour unpaid lunch, once i start work after them most days i feel like i cant really be bothered and dead. but i would not get paid for working my lunch so there is no point.

I need breaks at work, even if it's just going down to make a drink. I loose focus if I'm staring into a costing sheet or a long email to a supplier for too long and start to over think stuff so I go to the loo, make a drink then get back to it. Makes all the difference!
