Who likes it?
Every time the butchers has Game pie, or some venison, i can't resist buying it!
Loads of people seem to disagree with out of my friends, saying its a poor deer.. But as far as im concerned, its just like any other meat, its dead and cooked, and tastes amazing..
What are your opinions on it?

I've never tried it, if I was asked to I would though.
At the end of the day it's just meat.

It's meat and therefor good, I'm not fussed about the animal as I don't have that on my plate its just a lump of meat and if it tastes good then it's even better.
Yes venison is nice, I like it as steaks or sausage.

Not tried venison as the butcher doesn't have it as far as I'm aware, but I'd definately eat it... I LOVE MEAT
Just bought some random burgers over the weekend, from a New Zealand burger company that currently have a stall at a food fair in town...
Ostrich and unsure on the others gazelle and wallabi or something i think....
New zealand native meats anyway...
Any animal that doesn't look like a an alien should be eaten.. excluding household pets etc.

I would definitely try it! Not had it yet. Had horse at Le Man a few years ago & I liked that, so I guess this is just a nicer version of that.

Kangaroo is a brilliant meat, very lean not much fat and tastes great, camel is also good.
Bugs in Thailand are great also

I don't understand bugs...
It's not classed as meat in my eyes...your basically eating their guts..
I just cringe at the thought of it so I'm biased...

It's such a good meat, doesn't take long to cook and is very tender and lean,
Have it at least twice a week.

Absolutely love venison tbh. We had it for Christmas last year just as something different from the generic turkey and the family like it too.
Don't think I could eat rabbit or horse though - I keep rabbits as pets and the sister has a horse she loans so they're a bit too close to my heart to be having them as din dins... :homme:

Smells like any other meat if you cook it right. Your pan needs to be red hot with the oil smoking then just cook a couple of mins each side. Just like a quality steak.

Veal is a baby cow I think
Its not a baby.... Its slaughtered at the same age as lamb is, around a year
Venison is absolutely gorgeous. Only had it once though at a swank restaurant, too expensive to buy and cook yourself

Ever seen the size of a sheep or veal cow when it goes to slaughter? Far from baby size...

It's obviously still a very young meat or it would be called beef...

Maybe in size, but I'm on about age, so I win. Now, drop the pedantic attitude, you know what I'm saying.
