i think these (https://www.tempcover.com/) will do it but only on certain cars for your age group.

Struggle to get it for someone under 21 like..

Usually about £100 a day aswell if you find one... Be just as much as paying a months insurance!

Pay for a year, cancel in under 14 days and get a refund - normally is an admin fee only, so £20 or so.

or you can pay a extra 3quid a month with some companies which cancels the admin fee out should you want t cancel

dunno if it helps but last week i bought my clio

i phoned my insurance company and told them i have bought a new car and need to get it home, my current policy runs out 24th of oct, at which point ill obtain my 1st years no claims!

but id like to insure the clio now so i can use it, without taking out a new policy..

the lady on the phone was more then helpful and added the clio to my current insurance as "One month temporary cover" (til the end of the policy) for £72.25!!

im 24, licence held for 2 years as of next month, and 1 years no claims, (didnt have my own insurance for the 1st year)..

oh and im currently with elephant :y:

what i used to do was insure it with admiral and just cancel within 2 weeks so i only have to pay a £22 admin fee

bit risky, as if you have a claim, then you cant have a refund on the policy

The deal with trying to get insurance on a car for a day or two is that these insurance companies only cover cars if they are under a certain age,I aint sure exactly what age maybe upto 5 years old.

I had this problem myself recently as I just wanted to get the car up the road and my mate who had a flat bed tow truck was chock block with breakdowns the night I went to get the car so I had to fork out and insure it on a multi policy with the audi as he couldn't manage to get the car up the road (20 miles).

Do you not know anyone who has a flatbed tow truck?

yeah my mate has a trailer and my dad has a range rover we could collect on but that would cost a lot more in fuel seeing as its a V8 all be it on LPG.

would work out cheaper if i drove there and back in my car (about £30 in fuel)

and pay £30 for my dads insurance to drive it home.

would use easily a full tank of Gas in the range rover towing a trailer so thats about £80.

save myself £20, WIN WIN.
