Anyone advertised through autotrader before?

Its £36 for 2 weeks which is overly expensive if you ask me, but has anyone got much interest through it before?

saxo sold very well, only buy online. No one buys the magazine anymore.

when i tried selling my old car it was on ebay for a week or so with not a single bit of interest, put it up on autotrader and within minutes of it going live i had phone calls after phone calls, 3 people came down to look at it within the first 2 hours!

Ive never used it before for selling. Usually use eBay which gets alot of interest and ive had 2 sales through. Piston heads doesn't really seem up to much to me but for £10 I may as well use it. Gumtree is free but I never use it and adverts seems to get sunken and lost in there.

Sounds good, ive closed my eyes and clicked pay now for the 2 weeks at £36.

I've noticed that if you have a standard car/subtle mods it will sell much much much better on Autotrader but if you're selling a modified car pistonheads/ebay is better.

I stopped using it as it was expensive, also got nothing but calls from companies wanting to sell it for me and take a cut, or Indians offering me less than half.

ebay i've used a couple times and sold quick for a lot less

I've used autotrader. Took a few weeks to sell my saxo but it want standard. I think standard/boring stuff goes best on there. It did eventually go through there though. Pistonheads is free for me but I didn't really get much interest.

On the other hand, my brothers car sold within 2 days without autotrader. Just used local paper and eBay with a classified ad. It was an easy car to sell though, 1.0 corsa b so perfect as a first car or super cheap run around, plus it looked brand new as I'd just detailed it.

I sold my last car in a week through auto trader, was quite happy with that.

I sold mine through auto trader easily. Put it on saturday night about 10.15, and it would have sold the next day had I not been out, and sold it on the monday evening for a very good price.

Plenty interest in it, and the gutting thing is I paid full whack (thumbnails and 2 weeks in magazine).

Should not have sold it though. Miss it like crazy and my new car is not a patch on it :(
