phone up a local scrapyard, they come out and pick it up, they wont give you any money for it (they haven't with me in the past).

if you dont want them to sell the shell on or anything, cripple the pillars.

Ring the loal gypsies. They'll pick it up for you.

But as above. I've never made any money from a shell. They'll pick it up for nothing but the scrap value isn't amazing enough for you to get a cut.

Or alternatively, chop it up into manageable chunks and weigh it in yourself.

I get £30 / £40 for just the shell. Once i done with it i'm not fussed if they sell it on.

That's far from a shell a shell is just bare bones no bolt on panels ect I could have got 120 easily for that. You left all the heavy stuff on Barr the engine.

As above but to add personally i`d of stripped that down to the bare bones & possibly of made more selling the doors & bonnet mate.

I got £70 for a bare shell last week. Got it up on the trailer whilst rolling and then whipped the running gear off.

Few bits got thrown in like exhaust and some other old scrap bits, but fairly happy with the amount I got.

Trouble you have with someone collecting a non-rolling shell is they need a hi-ab, most of the scrap cars for cash places have a flatback and can't lift it.

Where abouts are you?

Scrap blokes around here don't give a fuck and will winch it up onto the back of there van with no wheels.

That's fine if the car is on pallets or tyres, saves marking the drive.

I did get rid of one shell by dragging it up, using a massive sheet of 5mm plastic as a skid. It got caught on the back of the bed but got on there eventually.

I was more thinking that if the OP had access to a trailer he could do it that way - or if near me could use mine for a couple of beer tokens.

And of course a complete bare shell can be lifted pretty easily if you get a couple of mates round.
