Blown fuses

just wired in a 8awg cable for my amp and it has blown the two 40amp fuses under the bonnet the 2 top ones of the 4. i have a 60 amp in line fuse and the power from the amp is connected to the fuse box and all connections from amp seem fine?

its a 600w amp and the amp has a 40 amp fuse which is fine

obviously you shorted something, or your gear is dodgy.

All sorted now like you said must have shorted out somewhere but put 2 new fuses in and made sure all wires were ok and earth was fine, connected battery back up and all works ok now.
