Hey all, to pass my MOT I need to change my rear o/s tyre, can I just swap the wheels with my spare or do you need to have a legal spare to pass?
Both rear radius arm bearings need to be replaced too. Hopefully it's easy else they'll have to take the whole rear axle out.
Been quoted £300 for this inc labour & VAT - is that about right?
Cheers

Not too sure about the rest but you don't need to have a legal spare to pass your MOT. The legality of the spare wheel isn't tested so you can just swap them over.

£375 gets you a whole new beam from IM axels. I'd plump for one of those and pay someone off here to fit it for you, if you cant

As long as the wheel/tyre size is the same size as the other on on that axel.
And normally mate if the bearings have gone then the stub axel is fubar so will need a new axel. And no you don't need a spare.
