Finding a local, decent mechanic- who isn't a bellend.

Sorry just need to have a rant after being twice turned away for a little job on my car.

Went to this local garage the weekend asking the bloke to do an exhaust gasket.

He says to come Monday. He phones today to confirm and everything.

Went down today and hes like " aah, i'm busy come back in an hour, I'll free up the ramp for you ".

So I went home, had some dinner.... I Just went back down. " Aah, can you come back tomorrow still working on this car. I'll free up the ramp for you tomorrow. "

I'm thinking, for fuck sake, why do people fuck customers around ! If hes busy fine, just tell me, but making me drive there twice and back home like some cunt.

I usually go there cause he is usually good at it and cheap, but he dont half make it difficult to actually get him to do somet.

I'm deliberately gonna tell him I'll be there tomorrow and not turn up. See how he likes it.

I do my own stuff to my cars. Being a fully qualified mechanic I can do everything pretty much on my car. I also do some jobs on the side to help mates out. Also willing to help anyone on here if they are either near or prepared to travel to me for some £££

exhaust gasket can be done on a jack.. I fitted a full system to my CRX just off a jack on my avenue..

Quite possibly true actually, my local garage dropped another customer to fix mine because he was going to get £400 out of me compared to under £100 from another lol Which made me happy as I got my car back a couple of days sooner than I thought I would
