Right just a quick question. got a new multi point injection 1.4 engine in my eastcoast which was running on a single point injection prior the swap obviously.

I rung up a auto electrical place who unlock ecu's and he said that i can't use my ECU even unlocked/decoded because it run my spi. Is he right? and do i now have to buy a new ecu.

I'm using a vtr loom with a 99 1.4 and a 99 1.1 ECU. Thats the complete set-up just to clarify.

Really hope this isn't the case, as i thought i'd do my research and compensated for everything, but i haven't for this :n:

Well nor did i. Like i said, i thought i'd be alright with just using my original ECU which people told me i could. But now other people are saying i can't because its out of a spi motor and need a new ecu. With a four digit code? and the original key?. . . starting to piss me off now, wish i'd never started the conversion.
