Would this be an ok set-up??
205/40/16 on the rear of my VTR.
195/40/16 on the front.
2 reasons- Been offered two brand new 205's for £25.
and i heard 205's scrub like mad on the front.
Or bite the bullet and pay £200 for full set of 195's.

Yeah should be ok. No major problems with the rear.
If she's lowered just a little trim on the metal work with tin snips behind the plastic arches will be needed (don't cut the arch clip holes away!!).
195/40/16 on the front should be no problems there.

not sure if it is safe having different sized tyres on the front and back, google it

Not an MOT problem so long as they are the same on the corrisponding "AXEL"

i have 205's on the front and they dont scrub that bad?? lowered 40 mm aswell....

im lowering 60 front, 80 rear.
So ive decided to be safe, im gonna go 195 toyo Proxes S1's all round.
Found em for £250delivered.

i have 205s on the front on 17 inch alloys lowered 60mm and i get a little rubbing on full lock thats it
