I still have the standard speakers in my VTR and although they are ok I want better bass. Now I have been looking at underseat subwoofers as I need my boot space (mainly the Kenwood KSC SW01) and wondered if I could have this alone with the standard speakers or would I need to upgrade them too?
I do still have a kenwood stereo which I took out of my 106 along with some alpine speakers and the 106 parcel shelf, so if needs be I can add these but would prefer not to have the hassle of fitting it all.
Sorry if I'm sounding naive but I dont have a clue about all this :s

Well if your stereo has a aux out at the back (red and white one) then you will have no trouble fitting a sub and keeping your old speakers.

i dont reckon there is enough room under saxo front seats for a subwoofer, its extremely tight under there.

If there isnt room under the drivers/passenger seat, bolt it to the back of the rear seats!

there is no way enough space unfortunately, i was playing with the idea of putting just a changer under there for optical but not even room for that so bought a new hu in the end

i think and dont want quoting but i looked at a 10'' under seat sub and it was tight and i mean really tight but was do'able with standard seats in, but needed a lot of pissing bout so ended up removing rear seats and making the boxes facing the seats

username should be a clue lol a mate of mine has one in his 106 under the seat but everytime he moves the seat to let someone in the back it pulls the air bag connector out under the seat :(
