Cyclocross bikes are much stronger than your average road bike. Much thicker tyres to cope with that abuse...

ok lol. Not sure I would want to do that on a bike that expensive then.. Surely he's not running 23mm tyres and high psi? If he is then I'll throw my bike a bit more. I guess most of my tyre punctures are at high speed though

Yooo that is like down the road from me! Kings skate park my local and all around the new Forrest and Brockenhurst/Lindhurst near my college.

Fair play to him, if i done that ide probs fold those wheels!

I wouldn't be worried about punctures really. You would only get them from pinch punctures if you're running low pressure or through a sharp object.

I would be more worried about the wheels.
