My VTS is still losing weight, today I removed the carpets and foam padding which goes up behind the dash (well as much as I could hack away without removing the dash!)

Just wondering what my options are for re-routing the standard loom? Is it a wise idea to run it entirely along the nearside sill? The ABS control unit has been removed so I'm gonna trace the wires as far back up the loom as poss and snip.

Best bet would be to trace the wires all the way back to their source if you want to remove them. Snipping them you risk shorts and fuses blowing

You can remover everything in the second picture right back to the fuse board. Use a small pair of sharp snips and cut the wires as close into the socket as possible to avoid any short circuiting. The only thing I had left that went to the centre tunnel was the handbrake switch. I thought I could run that on it's own the the handbrake and run the rest of the cables back in the same position BUT it looks a lot neater if you run the lot up the exhaust tunnel from the dash to the rear bulkhead then the cabling splits and goes to each rear section as normal. It takes a bit of fiddling and sorting out of the wires but it's do-able and looks a lot neater in the end.

I haven't got a good photo of mine but when the car is back from the garage next week i'll sort one out.
