neck/chin spasm

i know this a weird thread but, does any one get neck spasm when they yawn. its been happening to me for a while now, i should really see the quack. but i was wondering if any one has had any similar experiences.

Yes all the time. Hurts like fuck, feels like there's someone trying to burst out of my neck/ chin

yep, i get it too, try massaging your neck/throat/chin, usually does the job for me.

Yea i get it too... not all the time but every now and again - like my face has stretched too far lol.

it will just be the muscle under the chin/throat, especially in the morning it wont be used to being 'stretched' for 8 or so hours thus why it goes into cramp i presume when you yawn, tho ive had itwithout even yawning, just feels like cramp for a while.

I occasionally get it but not enough to really worry about, but I sometimes seem to get cramp in my jaw when yawning which is a bit more painfull

yeah its nothing to worry about, unless you get lock jaw or something.. screw that, it may look / seem funny but i bet it hurts like hell.

i saw it on tv, a guy yawned and locked his jaw, think they had to use some sort of muscle relaxant to release it, must have been sore.

I saw on TV a girl yawned and her jaw locked so they had to use ice lolly sticks so keep her mouth wedged open - this eventually relaxed her muscles and she was able to shut her mouth lol.

when i saw it it was a big dude, and they used something in hospital, prolly a little ketamine or something lol,


was the girl in the hospital when the used the sticks ? you'd think they'd just use some sort of muscle relaxant

Ive had a neck cramp thing before when Ive yawned. Its quite painful so I just sort of uppercut myself. Sorts it out.

to the OP yeh i do usually happens if i yawn too wide, it hurts.
