Hi,

On Monday i went to put my handbrake on and it pulled up a lot further than ussual (nearly strait up) which i thought was pretty wierd but not a big deal as can just park in gear, however i have noticed that i am now having to push my footbrake down a lot further to brake even softly, which is pretty worrying incase i need to stop suddenly. The problem is earlier today it seemed to sort itself out both the handbrake and footbrake working perfectly well so now when it goes in to the garage tomorrow i wont be able to show them what the problem is. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Thanks, Dan

Couldnt that be air in your brake system?

This happend with mine not so long ago, the rear pads had failed and the outer brake pad surface had came off and was floating around the drum, was sometimes catching and brakes were okay and other times it wasnt so brakes were shite and handbrake would go vertical, just changed my rear brake shoes, £13+vat from halfrauds.
