Hard to keep it in a straight line? Have to constantly be correcting the steering to keep a straight line?

Wishbone ball joints. The whole strut sits on this - So my guess is that these are worn.

What's up with the drive-shaft? If the CV boots have split but isn't clunking or making noises.. then you can just change the rubbers.

If you need to change the shaft, they are around £80 for the drivers side (without the intermediate bearing)

weaving or wheel wobble/vibration? Weaving/tramlining could be tracking/alignment.

Yeah I used to hate driving on the motorway.. Soon as the road camber changed.. my car would veer off that way.

New ballpoints and it was eliminated. They're only £6 each off Ebay. Need pressing in though..

What model of saxo do you have?

This is the driveshaft for 1.4's or lower.. (no intermediate bearing) http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Citroen_Saxo_1.6_2002/p/car-parts/car-transmission/transmission-parts/driveshaft/?654545781&1&5dd704daf2588c1f43da1a159ce36ea4fcd618e8&000113

No problemo - 03 VTR - they use the intermediate bearing.. SO that link to the shaft is the wrong one.. The right one with the bearing is around £120.

Being a 2003 It will use the tapered shafts / hub - but check incase they've been changed somewhere down the line.
