There pokey enough, till you can afford a proper car. Just don't fall into the trap of thinking its a racecar. I thought mine was the shit till I went out in my mates 500bhp skyline, puts things in perspective.

I thought this in the past, but if the VTR shell is in good nick and there aren't too many decent VTS's about, why not just do a conversion? I've toyed with the idea with my Quiksilver recently - it's an absolutely solid shell and finding a decent GTi is a needle in a haystack situation these days tbh...

haha good man! i thought my car was fast untill i got the bike. Now i havnt even spent a penny on the car theres no point!

Why? I prefer to have comfy seats and a radio ete when I'm racing bikes ;)

Had a bike - quick(ish) but not all they're cracked up to be let's be honest. Only litre bikes are really quick, and I don't have the skills to ride them to anywhere like their potential.

L33h
21st October 2012, 19:44
Quickish? What were you riding?

Tbh i do like a fast car and can have loads of fun in one. But bikes are just my thing

I used to have a gixxer 600. I didn't ride for a few years, then took my mates k1 750 gixxer out about a month ago. Wasn't blown away by that either tbh. The only thing I've ridden that was actually "really" quick is a gixxer thou, and that was just terrifying, back when I owned my 600. roll on in 3rd at a ton and it lifts the front. Far too much for me - I've not got the balls.

My 106 shits on 600's though and pulls away from 750's until I hit my limiter when they obviously come past as they have the legs top end. They're chin on the tank, whilst me of course, I'm listening to some nice music with the heater on to my chosen setting ;)

lol yeah. I've been on a few quick bikes as pillion and they're fucking monstrous. Truly scary.

Car was a bit more than that :p But I can take it out when it's snowing without needing new (thermal) underwear every 2 miles :p

Ross

put it away mate. I rode an SRAD through the winter as refused to admit it wasn't sensible. It isn't lol. The carbs hate cold days and long journeys for one - used to freeze up and run like dogshit. Had to rag the bike to warm them up - not a nice prospect on icy roads!

Get yourself a shitbox to drive through the winter :)

If you don't insure the conversion correctly the police will soon know its not a VTR when you exceed 90 in 3rd gear bro!
