The button doesn't light up, i have checked the fuse behind the glove box but it's fine.
What else could it be ?

when my rear demister stopped working, it turned out to be a fault with the glass.

If the light doesn't work surely it should still work when i press it ? I have pressed it and left it on for 10 mins between pressing them adn it doesn't clean any of it :(

their will be a little connection connecting those demister wires to the glass, check that as it comes loose from opening/closing the boot as has been said,
good chance it may be this

oops i read the cmment wrong, check the back and you should see a connection that attaches to the glass,
make sure thats connected properly,
it will have nothing to do with the led bulb

nt really much help i know but you checked the fuse? just an idea as my horn/lighter went b4 and it was cuz some plank had put a 15a fuse in a 30a socket lol

he did say in the first line that all fuses were fine,
if it was a fuse issue then yeah the lighter and some other things wont work either as it runs on the same fuse..
go round to the back of your car open the boot and to the top left make sure the black cable is pushed in tightly to the gold connection

Now going to check the rear cable. Is there anything else it could be if not ?

Both the black bits are still in there so the connection is fine.

hmm i would have thought that would have been it as it happens fairly often,
as marcusd said, his didn't work without their being a bulb working, so maybe look into replacing the bulb ?
i wouldn't have thought it would make a difference, but its worth a try, as marcusd done so and it worked, so its gotta be worth a go.

i was only guessing the bulb somehow creates a full circuit or something?
as i tried a different switch that had a different plug arrangement on back and that didnt work either. but as i say replaced the led and it worked maybe coincedence i dunno

yeah its a possibility,
ive removed my rear bulb in my boot as i have it open often and it obviously drains the battery so this is the same principal really, without the bulb their is no connection meaning no power going to the rear,
i have the boot open without the bulb and its not using any power from the battery so im presuming no connection is being made

Or as i previously mentioned, it is a problem with the glass, which is the problem i had with mine.....had the glass changed when someone bricked it and it worked again

i think, tho correct me if im wrong someone,
that the relays are basically big fuses ? you should see them next to your other fuses... plastic blocks, differently coloured..
i may be totally wrong..but i think that those are the relays.
