Just thought I'd let you all know that Sky are doing an offer on their wireless adapter for the Sky HD box, so if like me your router is a nautical mile away from the box you can now connect it to your router via wireless.

Usual Price: £60.00
Offer: £9.99

What I need is anew router and better service from them as my Internet is so slow!!

On wireless it's faster to tether the laptop to my iPhone to upload stuff!!!

How would that work? There's one ethernet port on the box and the wireless box, the ethernet connection needs to stay active as the wireless box acts as the bridge.

Unless there is a way of getting the skybox to then connect to an IP address on which the NAS resides connected directly to the router.

The wifi adapter must have its own IP? so providing the nas has one on the same range it should all be gravy?

Forget using the sky box at all, I'm thinking cheap wifi bridge for a nas box

I've just cancelled. Its a rip off tbh I can get a freeview + HD box with pause rewind record for no monthly fee. Where as Sky want 35 Odd quid a month Plus insurance.
