View Full Version : PAS heating and rear demister FAIL

Ive been on the other thread and no one is able to help me, Ive changed the steering pump,Ive changed the RELAY,Ive carried out the MOD and there is no battery light on after start, Could anyone please tell me what else it could be? I am at my witts end and can't seem to find the answer anywhere. 03 Plate vtr, Thanks in advance:wall::wall:

been at it too long now,and to be honest u never know what your getting 2nd hand so I could be here forever! Its booked into the garage on Monday morning so I will let everybody know what the problem was and how much lighter my wallets gonny be!:drink:

Have you had a search its a very common problem.

Also have you checked the fuse and relay for the three?

thanks but i have tried it all and swapped out relays and checked fuses, now thinking there must be a broken wire somewhere

I was always told if all three go down to check the earths at the ignition...?

Worked for me!!!

have you checked that there's power at the plug that attachs to the pump? Could narrow it down!

the Mod would sort the earth at ignition I think, I'm mechanicly minded and have'nt the scoobiest when it comes to electrics but if i got a voltmeter today i will check at the plug thanks:y:

turned out to be a broken wire closer to the actual pump,so with looking for it and fitting a new wire,my local garage took 30 quid off me,not too bad I think. Cheers for the help anyway!
