Yes threads must be getting boring, but i'm stuck for choice..
Looking for a little toy, not really bothered about MPG as I'm not going to be doing miles upon miles.. Just something with a bit of speed an can put a smile on face, preferably something where there is alot of car for the money! (not much I know).
Up to £4500, which doesn't give me much to play around with..
Currently considering...
Mazda RX8 231
Subaru Impreza WRX 2002/2003
BMW 330CI M Sport 2002/2003
Nissan 350z (won't find one for my price though)
Seat leon cupra R
Any other ideas? An, downfalls of the above cars.
Thanks

That is a bit of a problem, keep an eye out though, you may get lucky and get a really nice example.
If not then a 350z would be rather nice!

rx8 engines need a lot of oil, personally wouldn't spend 4.5k on an rx8

An I know people have bad opinions about an RX8, but you seem to get a lot of car for the money! around 3 grand you can get a decent one 2005, 40k miles etc.
Just stuck!

Can't insure an STI for cheap, only a wrx.. Never driven a trophy but they seem boring for some strange reason!

Do you mean the Leon Cupra MK1 or MK2 ?
If you mean the MK2 then yeah, your price range is abit unrealistic. But there's a few not bad examples of the MK1 around for the 4.5k mark. I really like the MK1 Cupra R and I'm thinking about getting one early next year. IMO the MK2 is just really ugly.
Here's a couple

they are a couple of nice examples, how reliable are the engines? For example, if there was a charge 80-90k miles one.. Will it last?

The MK1's were made until 06 so that's only 6/7 years old. How new do you want with 4.5 k ?

Cupra is fast but just feels boring to drive.
Rx8 too much hassle to look after it, from what i've heard.
I would look at a civic type r, or maybe something else jap rwd.
The vag cars ie cupra's etc they are fast but not a real drivers car.

I'd not bother with any tbh bar perhaps the 350, there is a lot of car to be had for £4.5k it depends what you want as the above cars all seem quite different.
