jamie281093
31st October 2012, 21:39
if i see it done i'd be tempted to do it myself if it isnt a stupidly tight fit (which it probably is) as some half leathers are much cheaper than gti ones :)

ott..? in bold

Swear people get carried away with using them or something lol..

Ross

306 gti seats in a 106 are tight - handbrake difficult to get to. Can't picture bmw seats being thinner...!!!111!!!111!!!!!!!

good shout - wassy does indeed have m3 seats in his, retrimmed to match his interior iirc. So they do fit! Just need pics here, and details of how they're mounted now - be interesting to see what's been fabricated mount wise to get them to line up :)

People aren`t being funny, but anyone can say i`ve fitted this that & the other but without pics there is no proof.Plus if you have it might prove instructive to others thinking about doing it mate.:drink:

Apparently its a common problem for them to pull out...

Whoever previously owned my rallye carpet must have had his buckets bolted to the floor

Holes in the carpet on the thinnest piece of the floor :panic:

I think i prefer standard Saxo seats, they look really dated and faded. I was expecting some decent E36 seats not out of a 316 or something!

whats the curtain tie back thing in th headrest?

Superdupersaxo

That must look really good.

Dont crash with the harness like that you will more than likely die.

LSOfreak
1st November 2012, 23:16
yes^^

that will fuck your neck up in a crash, just use your normal seatbelts unless you have buckets.

is it just the picture or are them seats really stained?

They don't look that bad in the sun light and they arnt out a 316 they are from a 328

mlawlan69
2nd November 2012, 01:59
christ they look awful, honestly.

now you know you can get them in save for a nice/leather set or something.

but i would say those are a step down from saxo seats, look less bolstered than the passenger one in your saxo!

Eughhhhh, may I ask why? Seat looks like you would fall out when cornering. Take them back to the scrap yard

All thy effort to fit for what?! You might as well built your own seat out of a bucket and a used pallet!

Or maybe your a dwarf who needs the height adjustment seats, would explain a lot....

The harness goes between the headrest and seat to the rear seat belt mounts what's so unsafe about that?

Bean
7th November 2012, 08:24
Say if you weigh 12st for instance, you hit something a 40mph. You think the the splines that hold the headrest in will hold that much pressure? I know they're bolted in the back but all the belts will want to do is open out, it's unsafe and also the mounting of your seat will be unsafe

You know what I hate? Bandwagon mentality.

But in this case it's correct; those seats are fucking hideous and dont look much good at all! Check the Recaro seat thread for seats that are worth changing std Saxo seats for.
