My iPhone was working fine, for some reason i took the battery out and now it wont turn back on. It turns on fine if connected to my docking station so when it's on charge, so is bypassing the battery I guess.. so do any of you phone wizzes know what ive got to do? Thanks.

I've put it back in how i'd say is properly.. there is no cables etc coming off it, just comes off as the solid battery and ive put it back in with the 'warning' sign facing me and sits fine :s

ah shit, just realised the battery has a little black wire thing coming from the bottom left of it, and looks as if it has ripped off of a bit which sits under a metal connector, anyone know what im on about?

Yep, sounds like its new iPhone time for you.
Was there a reason you took the phone completely apart to remove the battery?

After looking at pictures etc, ive snapped the battery connector bit but just means ive gotta spend a whole £7 on a new battery..
and i hardly took the phone completely apart, i took the back off and pulled the battery out

Battery is not meant to be taken out, you must have dismantled the casing to get to it.
Hopefully a new battery should be a fix.

Didn't mean that to sound rude just wondered why you had removed the back of case and the battery?
Got to be so careful when taking them apart as there's various tab cables to lift off. The slightest of movements can cause an expensive repair

As long as you haven't ripped the socket off the board, it sounds like new battery time.

You aren't allowed to take the phone apart apparently and take it to the shop demanding a new one, that's what I've heard from someone that works in the Apple shop in Valencia!
Why did you take it apart though?

Because the battery life was like 3 hours, so i decided to take the battery out, and not unscrewing the tab bit and just pulled it as if it was any other phone, which caused this..
The 2 black cable like bits are supposed to be attached :(

LOL Unlucky.
Should have just taken it down to a market, where they put a new battery in for £40-50, Must be an old iPhone to have such low life

Gutted! I would be absolutely pissed, but I would never take apart my phone as I know for a fact I would damage it even more!

You'd pay £40 for a new battery to be put in? It's 4 screws, 2 of them are to get the back off. Im a novice and replaced the screen and back on my old iphone. It's an iphone4 so not exactly old.

I would take it to the Apple shop! And pay whatever it cost because I'm an idiot when it comes to fixing phones myself lol

that's fair enough but if you was to watch a 2min youtube video on it you'd definitely feel confident enough - I took the phone apart before but completely forgot about the clip this time, hence why it snapped :(

I still wouldn't because I know myself! I'm terrible haha Is it still on contract?
Basically my Brother in Law, went out on his Jet Ski and put his iPhone 4 in the part where water can't get in, but some how water managed to get in that one time while he was testing the Jet Ski. The phone obviously wouldn't come back on after and he took it apart to have a look inside, then took it to the Apple Shop in Valencia and paid 160Euros I THINK for a new iPhone 4! His was fucked too so basically got a brand new phone for that money, and he was out of warranty, but still in his contract.
The point to my story is I'm sure they'll give you a new phone for some amount, just not the whole lot!

Ah, sorry about the stupid guess. If you can't solder just order a battery from a battery website (shop around) and swap. Shouldn't be too difficult or even too costly.
