View Full Version : Which civic is this?

I know absolutely nothing about civics, and I see this one by my girlfriends almost everyday and I love it. If anyone could tell me model, possible engine size, maybe even a rough bhp figure would be appreciated. Thanks.

The owner is Japanese and has a japanese motorsport shop advertised on it so guessing it may be an import if that helps.

Looks like an EK4 SiR to me. Import model with a 5 stud conversion.

1.6 vtec 160bhp

Could be wrong as I'm looking on my phone.

I think its the sir too. Had some money spent on it that's for sure. Front grill alone is £300 new.

EK shape is all i know.

I quite like them, shame when i was in the market for one every single one was a dog.

Thanks guys. It looks pretty smart inside, flip up dvd etc, red 'suede look' recaro buckets.
The bonnet is my favourite, real cabon fibre?

That would be all of them now. Even the ek9's are mostly shite now also some one was telling me recently that they are importing ek9's back to japan.

It could be anything really, bit like if you see a saxo could be vtr, vts, furio with some money spent on certain things so no way to be sure till you see the engine.

Could be a ej9 with a lip kit and spoiler of an ek9 rear disc set up added.

ek4 sir
or ek9 is type r

decent type r's with full service history are worth good bit but there rare most are wrecked by now i had one with full service history from honda from new got 6500 for it but thats euros took me a year and a half to find it

ek3 reps arent worth piss there all serious oil burners by now
mint sir are worth few bit only really way to find out is to ask him

like above its had good bit spent on it 5 stud coversion isin cheap it it aint a real ek9

once he opens the bonnet you'll no by the vin plate it will say it its real or not

and as for bhp its on condition of the engine and what mods are hidden under the bonnet

I'd say an EK4 SiR.

Or a UK one with lots thrown at it, JDM rear lights, JDM wind deflectors, boot recess, EK9/DC2 recaros, what looks like a mugen twin-loop and a few other bits.

id say sir aswell the head lights arent type r

have u seen inside it has it got the type r carpets and mats?

Does look like a possible EK4 SiR/VTi, but again it would be a lesser model tarted up a bit.

Its also worth more than £2k even if its an EJ9 with a D-series in it.
Seats, 5 stud conversion, bumpers and twin loop would get to around £2k

Echo above though....it really could be anything but my money is on an SiR purely down to how tidy it is...lol

Take my Dads SiR.....could be anything and if you dont know the spec....guess away ;)

I'm going to say:
B-series (B18c possibly)
Cusco cage
Cusco plated diff
Cusco/tein coilies
No wind deflectors
EK9 spoiler

Davyy

The sticker is his families company 'Mission motorsport'

Nice attempt. B18C6,cage correct, spoiler correct. :y: lots missing though but youd be more likely to win euro millions!

Tbh I've no idea what it's used for, as for engine stuff I'd have no idea without a bay pic and rough power figure.
