Updates not saving to Satnav memory card?

Ive got a Garmin 2445 satnav and its internal memory has ran out so i fitted a 9gb sd memory card and i go to update and it still says "insufficent memory" :wacko:

Any ideas?

i;ve had this with my mio, when logged on comp and updating said free mem 4gb update was 4.4gb wouldnt take it got pissed off and left it
