Is the cigar lighter on a permanently live circuit or does it only receive power when the switch is on ACC? I'm thinking about wiring some stuff to the cigar lighter but would like it all to turn off (in case I forget to turn it off) when I take the key out. I have a Mk 1 Saxo east coast. Cheers for the help!

cig lighter is a constant live..

there is a wire you need that is part of the stereo, but i dont know which one, narrows your search though :)

Cut the constant 12v feed and fit a relay with a 12v ignition switched feed. That way your not touching the radio wires and the cigar lighter is independent.

What relay should I use? I'm not that familiar with them.
