aah ok.... fuck that then. I was hoping for some ridiculous bargain.

Want this Samsung Smart freeview PVR and all Curry's / PC world within a 40 mile radius of me have no stock. Which is stupid I think. How they sell anything I don't know.

Thought i'd give Comet a whirl, as they've shit down their site almost completely.

Give them a couple of days and it should be in stock mate. What model number is it?

Its called a STB-E7500M Its like a PVR 500GB With lovefilm and bbc iplayer etc.

Its about 200 quid but that saves me loads comparing it to what Sky costs.

as with most things its still cheaper online,

only thing i wanted was a usb stick, 24.99, and then a 10% discount, or 12.99 online, lol.

i got a bargain when best buy closed,

brand new henry hoover, including extra's that i put inside it, for £60

my brother went to comet hoping to find a load of bargains lol said it was exactly the same as usual except the 10% off. Despite the huge signs everywhere saying, 'clearance sale etc..'

fuck that for a memory stick haha!

I don't understand where some shops get their prices

you can buy 8gb sandisk USB sticks for under £5!

I bought a couple of 16gb SDHC sandisks a while back too, only £30 for 2. yet some shops want £45 for one!

I've not been into a comment / currys / pc world store in years

Memory sticks is something I would want to pay the top price for from a decent shop so I know it isnt fake. Alot of fakes about!

A friend of mine told me his neighbour was stocking the car full of 50 inch tvs that she got for bargain prices.

but my friend is usually full of shit and his neighbour drives a 206, doubt you can fit many 50 inch tvs in the back.

haha, yeah I bought tonnes of 8gb ones. my headunit only has USB / aux / SD card as a source, so i bought one for each genre of music I have

mymemory were doing 32gb cards for like £16 last week.

I always buy battries and other stuff like that from those kinda places too.

thinking of getting that one there seems reasonable and looks ok too. Il check mymemory now.

Any idea if USB3 works with USB2? I guess so seeing as 2 works with old and slow 1 ports

Went in there to pick up a new unit fridge. . . "massive clearance" in the window. Best they could do was £8 quid off a £120 item. No wonder they went into administration!

I buy my memory from these guys, although recently bought 2x16gb CF cards from amazon for about £70 (a shop like jessops wants that for one)

i was going to get that one,

mainly want it for my music, how many songs can you get on a 32gb stick?
i used to used ipods, but after going through several computers, and having to reload and piss around with itunes, the drag and drop of a usb stick seems alot easier. lol

I keep thinking about upgrading my crappy old TV for a new LED 32" but tbh even 10% off Comet prices probably wouldn't touch the prices that Tesco and co. are selling them for these days. Probably Tesco and co. that are the culprits for killing Comet off in the first place if I'm honest... :S

My sister works in Comet and says everything has atleast a 10% discount. Some things up to 40%.

Went in to look at TV's

not much discount on offer, plus no returns/warrantee etc

So went next door to Currys a got the same TV £50 cheaper
