Earlier, heard a stange creeking/scratching noise under the floorboards in the corner of the living room in my mums house. Straight away one of the two cats was on the case waiting for it to pop out a tiny hole in the skirting board.
Anyone ever had a mouse in the house? do they only come out at night? whats best to deter them away lol will they see a cat and not come back again or something??
have both cats patrolling the area as i speak :detective:

You are pretty lucky if you have mince there are no rats near by. only one way to get rid of mice and that's with traps. They love peanut butter so bait with that. It's up to you if you want to kill them or use live traps and release them in a park.

Good job uv got cats!, mice enter your house through holes as small as biros, Eat everything they then cant get back out! ( bellys ) aha, tell your perents to go round the outside of there house looking for holes and gaps in brickwork biro sized or bigger and fill them in.. as for the house if the cats havnt already found a new toy / food get some traps!

I remember when I was younger, we looked after a nieghbours mice while they were away on Holiday. There was 1 male and 1 female, both in seperate cages. A friend of my brothers came round and put them both in the same cage or some daft shit..
They started breeding, and then there were loads of the fuckers.. We were chasing them for weeks. My mum found one in the washing machine, sadly..after it had been on with a load of undercrackers.
I also recall waking up in the middle of the night to eat the chocolate out of one of the bottle traps left on the stairs. That shit was tasty.

We have at least 8 cats on my street. The only time I have ever seen a mouse is in one of their mouths. Mouse-free zone ftw.

I like mice they do no harm to any one and they are clean. They just eat all the shit left behind by birds from bird feeders. We always use to have field mice as a kid because there was a field behind us. Always use to find them in empty bottles and buckets.

I'd let my snake out for a few hours. Lol I wouldn't really I'd never find her. Woman at work had a mouse she just out a trap down and that night it was caught.

Same here (liking them that is)
I think killing them intentionally is an unneccesary method of getting rid of them. Rats on the other hand need to die as they are rank.

Not sure about mice, but rats are awful. We had a few in the garden shed which chewed up and ate everything, including the rubber gear change bits on my bike! :rage:
Put a couple non-lethal food traps down in the garden, and somehow a magpie ended up getting in one! Unfortunately by the time i'd come home, it had completely fucked it's wings up whilst trying to escape but was still alive.. had to put it out of it's misery with the air rifle. :(
Oh and also, i'll just leave this here..

Got to love Saxp for some good old fashioned hypocrisy
Mice are no better then rats
They're still viscous
Still chew things
Still piss and shit everywhere
Still Cary lots of diseases..although not weils... They do carry another form of it
Kill them the same as rats :A:

We had mice (we live above a shop) so it's not really surprising.
Don't bother with them humane traps, they're dogshit and couldn't catch an sti in a whore house.
Pick up some poison from a supermarket, leave small piles dotted around and within a week they will all be gone

Great advise that poison them with cats in the house..... Brilliant.
As I said before the only way to get rid of them is with traps. Poison stays in the body and if your cats eat it they die too. Plus you don't want rotting mice in your wall cavity or under the floor.

Yes place traps with peanut butter or choclate on them hard against the skirting boards of the rooms as the mice run up against the skirting boards

I had mice last year from the fields outside i presume. They chewed through one of the plastic central heating bends under the floor. Meaning i had to rip up the floor and replace said part. Blocked up all visible holes outside the house and tried the humane traps. They would go in eat the bait then some how get out again.
In the end i had to use good old fashioned head crushers. Caught three in the end and left poison under the floor before repairing all the damage.

Best way to tell if you have them is if there are any droppings. Should be pretty small, if they are big you have rats! My parents are plagued with the little b*stards. They just put traps down & every so often they catch one.
