i've had mine for a couple of weeks now, and although it took alot of getting used to (i've only ever really had nokia's) i'm finding it pretty awesome, in someways, better to use than my ipod touch.

and being that its a pretty universal operating system, possible demise of apple??

lets face it, whats actually DIFFERENT from the iphone 5, from the 3g, yeah its bigger, better camera etc, but its pretty much just an update, how long can apple play the same idea for?

Apple will more than likely release another iPhone in a few months with the same features as the windows phone and claim that it was their idea first...

The reason why the IOS isnt being radically changed is because it works... well. And it sells. It just get improved and bought up to date with the other phones with new features.

But this is IMO ofcourse, im really interested in the windows system, looks cool.

Honestly I hate the I phone so I got one of these with orang's 20 day trial. I really don't like this its almost as if there is something missing. I cant quite put my finger on it but it deffo lacks something.

I had a windows phone. Was great when it was new. Once it had a few photos, songs and plenty of texts on it it was the worst phone I have ever used. Used to crash usually 3-5 times a day. I'd have to pull the battery out all the time. No one could phone me and if they could it wouldn't register I was trying to answer it for 10 seconds by which point they would of hung up. I sold it in the end so wiped everything off before I did and it was excellent again. Really quick. It was a HTC HD2.

I'll never have another windows phone because of that one. My iPhone is 10x better in every single way. Windows phones may have got better or mine may of been a lemon but it has out me right off.

I've never noticed but you do have a point there. Anyone who gets a different smartphone always has to try and point out what's better about it than my iPhone. I really couldn't care less. My phone is always quick and does everything I need it to.

I do dislike the apple fan boys though who will only own anything apple and if it isn't they won't consider it. Yeah they make good, excellent quality products but they are also overpriced the majority of the time. iPhones have become a fashion thing for most people, rather than because they are just good phones.

All the older Windows phones used to be like that, Had a HTC Diamond and it was great, until you started to actually use it. And i know exactly what you mean about missing phone calls. It used to vibrate for about 3-4 seconds before the screen flashed, and it would take another 10 seconds for it to register you pressing answer, at which point there was no one on the other end!

They have come a long way since then though, We've got some of the newer Nokia's (610 and 800's i think) and they're superb phones. Really quick, Takes some getting used too but do everything as you'd except from an iPhone or Android.

I'm an Android person myself, Dont have a problem with Apple, I just refuse to pay so much for a phone.

I've had the HTC Desire,SSG3,HTC X One,BB storm 9500 & iphone 3gs & iphone 4.
I have to say the iphones are better than the rest.
I feel with iphone they do what you expect them to do & the others you have to do a battery pull or they have so many rubbish pointless Apps that the phones memory is hogged.

Have a look at the Nokia 610 - They're pretty small.
compared to a SGS2/3 and the likes.

don't know if thats aimed at me, but i don't 'hate' apple. i've had them since the first ipod came out. and when using my gf's 4s i do find it really nice to use, just as someone said above, just feels like something missing.

i have the nokia 800, i'll be honest, its no where near as good as the iphone, but it just feels abit more, complete i suppose, don't know. weird. lol

one thing i have found weird though, as mentioned, is how big they are, i'm used to quite small phones, nokia c5-00 was my last, and the first call i took on the lumia, felt like i was talking to a brick or something i had held to my face it was so big, can only imagine how the galaxy user's feel. lol

the mrs has a windows phone, i really like it. makes a lot of sense and really easy to use.

if you're basing judgement on windows phones of phones that are 2+ years old, play with a newer one, they are nothing alike at all.

True, but I think phones are getting to the point of what more can they do? I'm currently a 5 owner and well, if the new phone isn't a lot better, en I'm not getting it. Like I'm not getting the new iPad compared to my iPad 3

SO true. I hated apple with a passion.... until i bought a iphone 5 last week. Everything is just so easy, no problems with it when lots of apps are running. WINNING!

I had a Windows Phone for a year. They're not the best tbh. I like the way they're easy to navigate, for a newbie on touch screens I think it's fine but if you're after a phone with tons of apps, go for Android or iOS.

my girlfriend had a windows phone (it was the only style windows OS) i never got the grips with that either, it was simple enough but it always felt like it was a front. you never really felt like it was a personal phone, you can't move things around or play with the OS - and that pissed me off.

I use a 4S, it does the job for me. had a play with a mates iphone 5, not impressed at all, my 4S with the ios6 update is almost as good.

My brothers have bought a Galaxy S3 and new Note. Now those are decent devices. When my 4S gives up the ghost I can see myself trying something top-end and Android.

Windows phones don't really appeal to me. I've got a laptop for that sort of stuff.
