Ok, sorry if this has been asked before.

Pump is making a whirring noise (well used to) when first started and then feeding the steering around the noise would vanish. This didnt bother me untill it just gave up full stop, i have to open the bonnet and give it a tap with a hammer to feed life into it everytime i stop (Rather crap :()

So question is, would a PAS from any saxo fit in? Or does it need to be vtr specific?

Cheers

No you can use a power steering pump from other models, or 106's but there are two different types.

One has the reservoir built into the unit itself ( Late type iirc )
One has the reservoir attached to the slam panel which then joins a hose down to the pump. The pump is still mounted in the same place though. :y:

Awesome thanks. The reservoir is part of the unit, so ill just look for the same one.

Thanks
