Come back to saxperience for some opinions of what to change my 182 for

It wont be straight away but i like to have a few ideas in mind of what im going to change to

I absolutely love the clio, its great fun, itss great for the daily B road blast to work but still being comfy and it never gets old beating much more expensive machinery and the occasional chav lol

But basically the problem is the lack of torque, i want something with more grunt so i need a turbo or a diesel, the car has shed loads of power but its all 4500rpm+ and its just annoying waiting for the power to kick in or changing down to overtake

Only want to spend between 3 and 7 grand

What do ya think? Cheers

Change your driving style - drop it down a gear to overtake!!!

I've said it a fair few times on here but even though I've never owned one (I have been out in a standard example when they came out as a SEAT demo and it was an absolute hoot) I'd recommend a Mk1 Leon Cupra R to be honest. You can pick up a decent one for less than 6k and there's a few on PistonHeads that are running alot more than the 222 that the later ones left the factory with... :D

Even if they are standard, throwing a few hundred at the situation sees a fair power gain. You could probably get a Mk2 within your budget, but I would be nervous on getting one without a warranty personally :S
