hi guys, not a saxo, but a facelift Renault Clio 1.2 Dynamique 16v
its my brothers car, hes owned it only 3 days and all was fine, drove all the way back from manchester with no problems then yesterday whilst driving the car basicaly started to die, lights went dim and the car cut out.
at first we thought it was alternator but turns out that was fine as the battery wasnt dead either and we managed to get it going again after fiddling with the key in the ignition.
now today we went to start the car and it wont fire, at first it was just clicking when turning the key from under the dash on passenger footwell.
then it started to turn over but only for a few seconds at a time but it wont fire so it leads me to believe theres an imobiliser problem?
all dash lights are working checked all fuses etc but no joy, i hate vehicle electrics with a passion!
if anyone could shed some light on the situation that would be great as hes stuck now and needs to get to/from work this week.
thanks.
