Looking at picking up a 98 206 diesel as a runaround as the saxo is dying and ruining me in running costs, but what should i look for ideally when viewing the car? i guess most of the underpinnings are similar to the 306?

Timing belts last done
They do go often on them 19 flat diesels

we had one of them, I drive a 106 1.5 diesel and im confident it would outrun a 1.9 diesel 206 very slow lol, not many of them about and pretty sure they all run Bosch pumps so can run them on veg

how much do they run at parts wise? guessing theyre 8v so a little less hassle.

aly, if i buy it i'll definately check the pump, as a guy at work runs a mix of diesel and waste oil in the summers so can sort me out with a bit!

as for speed, as much as I liked caning it about in the saxo its time to be sensible, just will make motorway sliproads interesting!

edit: do they generally/can they run the front brake setup from the saxo? as i not long ago replaced it all!

It'll probs have 266's o anyway

And no idea on prove for belts mate, never looked into it

cheers anyway. 266 on a diesel seems overkill!

I thin the 19 diesel is as well but not 100%

Every car/can I've seen so far with that engine has had 266 :)

listed as 247 on ECP but with different styled pads :s

will just have to check!

266 aint overkill on a turbo diesel.

probably that its a typical peugeot, bound to have different parts on the same model!
