okay so had this issue for a while now. i have a 1999 1.5 D ( i know its a diesel, buy a petrol and so on )
when its cold in the mornings, it seems to start fine, abit rough but thats natural for a diesel in the cold mornings. But i still have a problem with the car starting smooth when its warm.
When its gone for a good 15/ 20 min drive and i stop and start the car again, the whole car vibrates and judders, then it starts and idles at about 600 and feels like it wants to stall. it never does stall but it almost wants to.
I dont get this bit, when its started and its idling low, the needle will then flick up to 1000 or just above then fall again to about 600 and stay there.
I have replaced the fuel filter, bled the system a few times to make sure no air is trapped in the fuel lines and have checked all the exhaust system for anywhere it might be blowing and cant hear / see anything.
Does anyone have any ideas? i will try a few things but have asked a few mates of mine who are mechanics and one check it out but he couldnt find fault.
any suggestions to try will be a great help,
thanks!
