upper strut brace

Just picked up an OMP upper strut brace exactly like the one below. fitting it tomorrow after a lick of paint as it was only 15 quid so a little tatty, problem is, i heard these catch the bonnet of the phase 1 vtr's apparently? :panic:

if it doesnt fit i have the straight mk1 type that needs painting you can have for £15 and im only in newtown :)

it fits :) had to do some minor modifications to the bonnet on the square support rail things with a hammer however, but it fits and the bonnet sits flush :)
