I have a 106 quiksilver.. Used to have a Saxo so still a member on here.. People actually help you on here unlike the 106 o.c !
basically I bought a Gti engine to do a conversion and realised the engine was 3 plug and my car was single plug .. I was told it was still possible and was told to get a single plug engine loom and ecu.. So I did this .. Everything's plugged in. And 3 months down the line we still can't get it started!! :( it turns over but that's all.. No spark or anything.. I miss my car and need it running desperate so if there is anyone who is local that could come and help or anyone has any ideas then please let me know!!! Would very much appreciate it!! Can't get to a computer at the mo I am on my phone so would be easier to text, num is 07792692673 please help!!!! :)

Ecu is unlocked the lad I bought it off showed us it working on his Gti before we bought it and he said the pins been removed so it won't re-lock or something ?

not put the live for the ecu on an earth like i did on mine.
round where the starter is there should be a yellow/green wire and a black wire that look the same, the yellow/green is an earth so put that to a bolt of the starter the black needs to go to the live of the starter,
i were pulling my hair out for about 2 weeks till i looked and figured out the haynes wiring diagram and moved the black, fired up first flick of the key after that .

im not to sure whether you've tried this or not but there is a imoberliser behind the glove box you have to unplug this before you plug the unlocked ecu in because some ppl say you can re-lock the ecu if you dont unplug it first!!!!! try disconnecting the battery and then unplugging both the ecu and the black box behind the glovebox it's abit bigger then a fag box and then try connecting the battery then plug the ecu in and try starting it hope this helps .....

Some people say it because its true. Disconnecting the battery and connecting it back up wont work.
