Was just reading ppc this month about the odb 2 app and I went to check the post and my little Bluetooth reader has arrived. Can anyone recommend an app and some software for windows? I have a bluetooth capable laptop. Free preferably also

Didn't you get a disk with the reader mate?

There is one called Eodb by denso. You will have to "Find" the download on a "illegal site" to get the correct name. Then buy it directly from denso for £200 if you know what I mean.

It works on pretty much every car I have used it on except the focus rs. and gives the code the code cause and any part numbers needed

got it plugged into the car just a red light comes on the reader. Iphone bluetooth wont detect it and neither will the PC, but then what do you expect for £7 delivered from the back of beyond haha
Torque app doesnt exist on the iphone ether, its android only

Have to say that using some software I found, the diagnostics package on the mk1s isn't much cop. I can see I've got no fault codes but I only get RPM and nothing else. Had it on the 182 and obviously being a later car its much better - MAF readings, lambda readings, rpm, ign. advance and retardation etc.
Are mk2 saxo a bit more forthcoming with info?

Mk1's were never good with the Citroen dealership software mate. Some codes can still be read but others cant. Same with the cross over's.

Oh well at least is useful for clearing fault codes still

would diagnostics software help me figure out whats going on with my dodgy revs on my vtr or would it need to throw up fault codes? i have an elm327 just never really bothered with it coz ive never had any codes come up so this thread got me thinking..
