View Full Version : Rather odd idling

Hi all,
This morning, I took my Saxo down to the petrol station to watch more money turn into the stuff that smells nice and makes the car go vroom, everything seemed fine.
However, as I went to leave, I started the car and it seemed to be struggling to keep an idle of around 500rpm (Juddering and sounding rather unhealthy)
Thinking this was rather odd, I killed the engine, checked my receipt which indeed said petrol and tried for a second round. This time, it went all juddery, but by giving it some juice, it recovered and seems to be fine now.
Is there anything that I should check or need to worry about?

Could be your icv... use the search button to find how to clean it, faster than me explaining.

Could possibly be the ICV, Temp sensor or in my case, was the injector failing.

Might help if you fill out the rest of your profile so we can what car you have etc to pin point the problem area better :y:

It's a P reg 1.4i VSX manual. It's a nice car and it only did that the once. But it does have similar problems if left in the rain for a few days, so it could just be sulking for one reason or another.
