I'm with a local IOM company, but they've insured me on my dads car twice in the last 3 months as a temp driver no bother.

£30 for 15 days each time. Go in pay, and I was insured from that moment.

My girlfriend added me to her policy for 2 weeks for £90, that was with Admiral so may be worth giving them a ring? (I'm 20 driving for 2 years)

I found most insurance companies wont do this anymore, I did a couple of years ago on my girlfriends insurance for about 12 quid for a weekend, instead this time we added me as a named driver to my gf's policy and it actually made her price go down :).

i called churchill who my current insurance on my civic is with, id shatterd my windscreen and couldnt drive the civic so needed the saxo for 2 days. with churchill it was £21. i have 5 years no claims and 22. i was expecting it be at least £60 but i was well chuffed. so why not try your current insurance broker? see if they do it? worth a try

Kestrel.

Not sure if it was my own insurance or just added to my dads policy though.

I know the OP is sorted, but I have had quotes from these before.

They cover some cars that others won't. As a driver I am ok for most companies, but strangely a few won't cover Proton GTI's....(they aren't that bad IMO).
