View Full Version : Left Rear Light Not Working

Continuing on from the title, the rear left light (when sidelight switch is on) does not work. The right one does and both brake lights do (the brake lights are double filament bulbs, same bulb as the rear lights).

Any ideas whats going on? I tried a new bulb and the problem persists. I do have some aftermarket lights and i've visually checked the connections block and it's in pretty good shape. I've wiggled the wires around (a lot) to see if it was a broken wire but couldn't get it to light up. It's not the rear fog lights, its the rear lights that come on when you put your sidelights and/or headlights on.

Thanks for the help :)

Check your fuses mate, fuse diagram in the stickys at the top of the page iirc

i wouldn't say fuse, as neither would work i'd have thought.

the most likely cause is a bad connection, check to see if any water has found its way inside and buggered the connection, if so dry it out completely (hair dryers perfect) and clean away any rust thats found its way into the bulb holder.
hopefully that should solve your problem.

when putting the light back in make sure the screw nut is done up as tight as possible good idea to use a rubber washer to give a good seal and avoid water finding its way back in tonthe light.
