After reading a lot of threads lately of Saxo's being broken into it doesn't inspire confidence in me wanting to buy one lol.

Why are they so easy to break into? Apart from the obvious steering locks, what else can be done to help prevent them breaking in? Do any alarms work especially well with the Saxo? Also heard about removing the door pins? Any info on that?

Ta :)

Theres a guide on how to remove door pins, in the guide section as it happens, which would help ye. And the TOAD A106 or whatever it be called is meant to be a spiffing alarm. A nail bat is also useful

if you do a search - both have been covered loads in the forums

also i dont expect anyone to reveal how to brake into one as its a public forum and that info in the wrong hands can be costly

get rid of the locks and door pins

and get a decent alarm mate

steering locks and handbrake to gear stick bars are good too

Well I'm interested, couldn't PM you as your space was full. How much for fitting in Southampton? And could I possibly do it myself?

Wrong wrong wrong. The weakest point of security on most cars is the window. I does not need a genius theif to work out how to break in to a car.

If you want a secure car dont buy a Saxo.
