My auxiliary belt came off on the motorway yesterday and because I was away from home I had to go to Shit fit as it was the closest place. Anyway I had my crank shaft pulley replaced about 2 weeks ago, and they tried to tell me my crank shaft pulley was worn and needed replacing along with the belt. So I told them I had it replaced 2 weeks ago and then they made up some bullshit and ended up saying 'ohh yeah it does look quite new' So I told them to take it off the bill, c**ts! I've heard bad reviews about them but really didn't expect that when I went to them!

kwik fit are useless brain dead monkeys.

my mum took her mini cooper there to get a tyre fixed (runflat) that had a slow puncture.

one guy had a look and rang her up and said theres a big piece of metal stuck in it and now ive removed it it has left a massive hole to big to repair so your guna need a new tyre.

so she said okay order one and i will collect the car tomorrow.

so she went back the next afternoon and asked about the car and a different bloke said i dont know anything about a new tyre for a mini, so he got the car up on the ramp and checked all of the tyres and found nothing in any of them.

absolute chopper trying to con an inocent woman into buying a brand new tyre.

she noticed the guy she originaly delt with in the corner trying to hide and when he was confronted he just went bright red and didnt know what to say, think his boss gave him a ballockin aswell.

i think to this day she just tops the tyre up with air weekly lol.

to be honest though as overpriced and crap as kwikfit are, there are tonnes of smaller businesses too in all industries that would try and rip off an unsuspecting consumer...

it's the way the world works, when you're desperate of something and know little about what it is - it's easy pickings for those wishing to mug you off

and to many people are to trustworthy to the garage they use.

its very rare i take my cars to a garage for work but when i have done in the past ive stood there and watched every move just to make sure im not getting mugged off!

I had to got to kwik fit with one of my mates to pick her car up as they where trying to rip her off... She went in for 2 new tyres as it was the closest place and they called her and tried to convince her that her cambelt was worn and could snap at any point.

Why they would notice such a thing anyway when they where asked to change tyres is beyond me and the fact that the car had recently had it's cambelt changed due to a service made it even more unlikely...

I went and paid for my mate, refused to pay them labour, balancing etc just paid the price of the tyres..

Scumbags.

when i took my sax in on a sunday to get the brakes sorted they said all of the brakes and brake lines needed replacing so about £300 or something stupid like that.

I told them no way am i paying that. Took it to a local garage and all it needed was a set of front pads costing about £20 for parts + labour.

They get bonus on commision thats why they try selling as much stuff as possible. They are shit but there not the only garage that will try ripping you off!
