Hi can anyone help me please, heard a grinding sound all of a sudden and this little bolt with a torx insert in the top was sat on the top of my cambelt!! It has left a nice groove on the middle of my belt and made a little hole in the top of my cambelt cover!! A friend of mine suggest its probly one of the bolts that hold the inner cover to the engine has worked loose and flew round with the belt although he hasent seen this pic yet, please can someone confirm this as I'm a little worried, many thankshttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/12/06/sa4e7ume.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/12/06/aquzurar.jpg

Yep looks like a bolt from the inside cover, your lucky it didnt catch up and make it jump a few teeth.
If its damaged your belt do not drive the car and get it changed ASAP if its snaps you will bend valves

Not too sure where that is from, the cambelt cover bolts are different to that. Your biggest issue is that it left a groove in your cambelt, you may want to consider replacing it.
