So does this mean girls will be paying as much as lads, or lads will be paying cheaper ?
IMO should meet in the middle (Girls up abit and lads down).

It is supposed to be a bit in the middle, will it happen. I very much doubt it.

I highly doubt it.
They'll just raise girls upto the same level as guys.

Lads is supposed to come down a bit and girls up to meet in the middle. But what will actually happen is that the insurance companies will say sorry chaps, another year so another annual rise so lads will actually stay the same or go up slightly and girls will also go up to match.

I recon it will just match. The insurers see this as another oppertunity to rake more money in so I expect they will take it

Insurance is messed up these days. There is far too many variables, i reckon you will never notice any differences.
Its the same as thinking the lower the insurance group, the cheaper the policy will be.

lasses insurance will come up to the same as lads. Lads wont go down. Itll just mean insurance companies will get more money

Don't be naive, the prices will go up, in typical insurance fashion. They're thieves and that's about it, any excuse to push it all the way up.

My missus got a quote for next year. Was £700 as a girl and over £1500 if she put mr instead of miss, everything else exactly the same. She'll no doubt be paying 1400/1500 next year.

Why's that?? It dosn't come into affect till 21st December. So im sure the quotes she has ran will have taken this into account if she has done it for next year. If not, save the quotes and take out the policy. Won't expire till after the date she put for next year anyway so she will still get it for £700.

No insurance company will lower any rates.

I think this is the way they're doing it tbh. IIRC they're completely removing gender from the consideration of giving a quote to potential customers. Sucks to be a new driver regardless of gender these days then tbh... :n:
