Imagine how good arsenal could have been if they didn't lose RvP, Song and Fabregas. those three players combined with the current team could be pretty awesome.

Arsenal have got a decent bunch of players, they just always look pretty shit and don't seem to have clicked as a team.

What have I missed?

Just gone out the league cup on pens to Bradford :y:

Edit: With pretty much a full strength team out.

Oh deary deary me.
I was going to say that in all fairness most of top teams in the competition use it to blood in new talent. But to still be able to fuck it up with a strong side out?
It really is about time he left, or start spending mohoneys.

Says it all really. That's enough years for the younguns he was "Bringing through" back then, as opposed to signing top talent, to be at prime age now.
And were are they all? Scattered around the planet winning trophies. 44 as of the end of last year.
Fabregas, Flamini, Ashley Cole, Nasri, Diarra, Pennant spring to mind. Even Seb Larsson has won a league cup. Soon to be joined by Van Persie and Song no doubt.

He is in the last 16 of the champions league more or less every season, in the top four every season give or take.

Arsenal aren't given blank cheques by some billionaires who use it as a toy (Man City and Chelsea) and they certainly don't have the worldwide support and funds that Man Utd have.

Are they not still paying off the Emirates Stadium and in debt ?

I'd say the guy is working with his hands tied behind his back sometimes, especially when they go into contract renewals and can't afford to pay more wages.

From a business point of view they are excellent.
From a football point of view dire.

Sorry, I'm a Chelsea fan, but Wenger will not get the sack.. In his whole time been an Arsenal manager, I'm pretty sure he has never finished outside the top 5..

Sure they haven't won anything, but its not like they are doing really bad..

Just won't happen.

I dislike Arsenal, but that is a stupid statement.

Why's it stupid? A top premiership team loosing to the likes of bradford is a dire situation!
I by no means think its wengers fault either.

He won't get the sack, He's making a lot of profit for the board so they won't get rid of him.

The board have openly said that he now has money to spend. Let's see what he does in the transfer window

Suppose he did get sacked...

Who would arsenal get with better credentials?

He could probably walk into any management job after his career with the gooners!

They are lucky to have him!

You talked in the context of the club as a whole, not that single game

In general, they've not a great situation, but it's not 'dire'.

Barnsley beating Chelsea was more painful for me as a Chelsea fan ;)
Where is Avram Grant these days anyways?

United lost to southend a few years back. No biggy. Sure its not great but tbf to Arsene he has done great with limited funds and an exodus of quality players.

If Wenger does go, it will be himself walking out. But tbh, his decision making hasn't been very good recently, Gervinho as a striker? Ramsey on the wing? Put a full strength team up against Bradford but didn't put a strong team out against Olympiakos, surely everyone else would rather finish top of the group? He seems to have ran out of ideas but I will always support him as I grown up looking up to him.
