Should be genuine as it has omp written on 1 of the spokes. Fake ones dont

Bolt it on and try and pull it about to see if it flexs?

Cheers mate, thought it was genuine but just wanted to make sure first, one thing doubting me is I thought genuine ones had "made in Italy" engraved in them
John, it's solid and doesn't flex at all, has barely worn after a few k's use

Did you buy it second hand or new? I would of said genuine but if your not sure then its worth about 20-30 quid

It got given to me by someone who owed me a small amount of money and give me this instead lol. I was 70% sure it was genuine before I posted this as its built solid and hasn't worn anywhere near as quick as my mates fake one, but just wanted to be completely sure before I sold it
Cheers for the help though mate :y:

last year i bought a mate a dished steering wheel new off ebay as a present. It came and it said EMP on it or something, he peeled the badge off and underneath it said OMP.
i paid £30 for it new. It was one of these as i re call,

looks the same as the other OMPs ive had and i can say that it was MUCH cheaper!
(i cant gurantee that one i posted above will be an OMP, the one i bought was almost a year ago)

Yeah they look pretty similar lol, one thing I read up is that fake ones have a ring in the middle which the eBay one has and mine doesn't
Still got me pretty worried at first glances lol :p

More than likely branded OMP as its fake, got slapped with a cease and desist and had to rename the product he was selling. It wont be OMP for £35, but thats not to say you can get some wheels that feel reasonable quality for a little more - just wont be a big name brand
^ in regards to the one with the sticker over the logo

2 ways to check.
Real ones have the bolt to boss holes countersunk at a 45 degree angle.
Real ones have the omp signature stitching.
There are some amazing fake ones out there even the omp reps have a hard time telling the difference.
Btw the sticker saying omp means nothing I can get you a sheet of 1000 for £3 if you like.
If you wait till Crimbo I'm getting a official one direct from Omp so will post pics for you to compare. But right now its with Santa so you will have to wait.

Cheers for the info mate :) as mine has none of the two you mentioned above, it's pretty much confirmed its just a well made fake I think
And yeah if you remember the thread when you get yours, post some pics up to see if it's any different :)
