I'm interested too as I want the roof of my Mini Carbon wrapped as I can't be bothered to have the gloss black machined.

I had a pro job done on my Clio roof and the finish was perfect, most people thought it was painted and it lasted for 3 years still looking mint.
I bought some vinyl online and started doing my Mazda in the summer and it was easy enough and the finish was good. Wasn't a patch on the pro job but enough vinyl for a full car only cost £60 vs. the roof job close to £200.
Car cosmetics in south shields Aly, superb work but not cheap in the slightest.

Looks good when done right. Looks gash when its bodged.
Check out my mates Paul and Reiss at PWPro for some amazing wraps.
A bit far from you for just a roof but if you ever need the whole car doing they are the lads!

I agree I've my a,b and c pillars wrapped and it is noticeably fake but it does look good in the interior, bonnets and roofs would be a no go for me, thinking of getting some plasti dip also, basically the same thing in a can that is easier to apply haha

Ah cool,
Haha cheers for offer Dan but I would love it carbon wrapped actually, so you reckon for the roof on mine it would be about £200?#
Also I agree with blackie and matt I've seen some awesome wrap jobs, would love to have my Mini done

Most likely around £200 bud yeah. I'd highly recommend car cosmetics If you don't mind paying a premium, quality of the wrap on my Clio was perfect.
Wouldn't hesitate going back to them if I had a car worth it :).

Search for the companies demos on YouTube Yates, there's a handful of places in the UK doing plastidipping.
It's expensive for a full car, close to the price of a full respray if I remember right (north of £1500).
There's a guy on ZSOC who does wrapping and his work is superb, his companies called Autowrap.

i only want a splitter doing

Buy the plastidip from tinterweb and crack on! It's dead easy to use on small applications, I'd question it's durability on a splitter though- one chip and it can be peeled off.

Technique plays a big part, that said if you have a gravity feed gun and the right gear chances are you have acquired the skills to use it as well.
They do sell a "pro" application kit which comes with the right gun etc. which can obviously be reused.
Wrap or paint for me, having used plasticoat I wasn't that impressed with it, others love it and will tell you it's awesome.
